Congratulations AQHA Open Supreme Champion “Mr Joe Im Kool”

Sarasota, FL – On January 7th, 2009, Fast Back teammate, Ted Chancey of Dover, Florida, earned the roping points required to award the distinguished and elusive title of Open Supreme Champion on the superb stallion in training, Mr Joe Im Kool.

The title “Open Supreme Champion” is the highest honor the AQHA can bestow on any registered Quarter Horse and rightly so. The criteria established in 1966 for earning that title weren’t based on some “dime novelist’s” romantic notion about what the ideal Quarter Horse should be. They were based on what the real American Quarter Horse once was…“the one horse who could, and did, do it all.”

The AQHA Supreme Champion honor is awarded to any American Quarter Horse which meets specific requirements including earning two official Speed Index Ratings of 90 or higher in races (Mr Joe Im Kool had a SI of 99) and earning points and honors in specific halter and performance events.

This outstanding stallion is bred and raised by Gerald Keesling of Sand Cay Farm in Punte Gorda, Florida.
