Currently makes his home in Tolar, TX. Started roping when he was 9 and living in Mesa, AZ.
David has been to the NFR twenty-two times, won the NFR average four times and won a world title once. He has won the Salinas rodeo fives times, along with every other major rodeo.
David is currently single and has three kids: son Ryan, 27; son, Casey, 24; and a daughter Mica 21.
