Jerome Schneeberger

Name: Jerome Schneeberger
Born: August 12, 1976
Hometown: Ponca City, OK
Personal: 6’4” 230lbs

At the tender age of five, Jerome Schneeberger, knew he wanted to be a tie-down calf roper and rodeo professionally. At 31, Schneeberger is living that dream as one of the nation’s elite tie-down ropers.

Schneeberger joined the professional rodeo cowboys association in 1996 after winning back-to-back titles on the collegiate level at the College National Finals Rodeo. Over his twelve year professional career he has appeared at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, the sports equivalent of the Super Bowl, ten times. Along the way he became rodeo’s 63rd contestant to surpass the 1million dollar mark in rodeo winnings.

While his career has been well documented with successful mile stones, perhaps he’s most proud of his two young sons, Jaden (5) and Jace (3). Family is a big part of Jerome’s life as he travels throughout the year with his two boys and his wife, Haley. When not competing, Jerome also serves as a pick-up man, an individual who assists riders from the bucking horses after the eight second time limit has expired, at professional rodeos throughout the country.

The family resides in Ponca City, Oklahoma when not on the rodeo trail. However, a typical day at home still involves some type of roping and ranch work, which proves that for Jerome Schneeberger rodeo isn’t just a sport, but a way of life!
