The Mach 4 is ready to use immediately without having to “break it in.”

When four-strand ropes first came on the market many ropers fell in love with the smooth swing and were forever hooked. Others considered it a passing fancy and felt ropers wouldn’t continue to pay those few extra dollars each time they bought a rope. Now, a few years later, they’re still hooked and “four-stranders” make up a healthy portion of the team roping population.

Over the last decade as team roping has steadily grown, the supply of quality roping cattle has steadily decreased. Consequently team ropers are now roping smaller cattle with smaller horns. This required rope companies to produce a rope that would stay on these small horns. As a result, the entire industry has seen a decrease in rope diameters as a matter of necessity.

The Mach 4 head rope is smaller and lighter than the heel rope resulting in a snappy rope that comes tight quickly and stays tight, Head and heel ropes both have the smooth feel and consistent balance that have ropers saying ‘Wow.’

The Mach 4 is aptly named for its speed, as is the Mach III. Fast Back chose a bright green for the color as a visual aid for low lighting conditions. Additionally, the lower crowns decrease friction meaning less wear and tear on the rope.
